Data, backup & sync

Back up and restore your data

Where your data lives, how to make a copy, where the app keeps copies for you, and how to bring everything back on the same or a new phone.

Updated Sep 18, 2026

Everything you enter stays on the phone — there is no account and no server holding a copy. That is the privacy promise, and it is also why a backup is your job. The app makes it a small one.

On iPhone

  1. Open Settings → Data & Sync → Back Up.
  2. Create a backup. A full copy of the database is saved and listed on the screen. With Enable auto backup on, the app keeps making them for you.
  3. Copies are placed in your iCloud Drive when it is available, so a new iPhone signed into the same Apple Account sees them in Files.
  4. To restore: tap a copy in the list, or Restore from Files to pick one you saved elsewhere. The app tells you what it added.

Swipe a copy to delete it; Clear Backup Storage removes them all. Storage Usage on the same screen shows how much space the data takes and can Delete Previous Years — a destructive shortcut that also removes those years from your statistics.

On Android

  1. Open Settings → Storage → Data and Storage → Backup copies.
  2. The app backs up by itself when it starts and the last copy is more than five days old, and keeps the five most recent copies.
  3. Tap a copy to Share it — to email, a chat, Google Drive — or to Import it back into the app.

An Android backup copy holds the appointments — name, date and time, service, price and deposit. Phone numbers, notes, tips and durations are not in it. For a complete copy, export a CSV as well — see Export and import CSV.

Good to know

  • Send a copy to yourself. A backup that only exists on the phone disappears with the phone.
  • iCloud Sync (iPhone, Pro) keeps a live copy of the database in your iCloud and on your other devices — the safest setup, and separate from these backup files. See Sync with iCloud.
  • Deleting the app deletes the data on that phone. Restore from a backup, a CSV or iCloud afterwards.
