Move from iPhone to Android
Step by step — export your appointments on the iPhone, get the file to the Android phone, import it, and set up what doesn't travel.
The iPhone and Android versions don’t share an account, so your appointments travel as one file: you export it on the iPhone, send it to yourself, and import it on the Android phone. It takes about ten minutes. Keep the iPhone until you have checked the result on the new phone.
Before you start, update My Clients on the iPhone from the App Store, and install it on the Android phone from Google Play.
Step 1. On the iPhone: export your appointments
- Open My Clients and go to Settings — the last tab.
- Tap Data & Sync, then Export CSV.
- From and To are already set to your first and your last appointment. Leave them as they are, so nothing is left behind.
- Tap Generate CSV. The iPhone’s share sheet opens with the file.
Step 2. Send the file to the Android phone
Use whatever you already have on both phones — the file is small:
- Email it to yourself. On the Android phone, open the email and download the attachment.
- Send it to yourself in a messenger — Saved Messages in Telegram, or a WhatsApp chat with yourself. On the Android phone, open the chat and save the file to the phone; it usually lands in Downloads.
- Save it to Google Drive, if the Drive app is on the iPhone. The Android file picker shows Drive directly, so there is nothing to download.
Send the file as it is. Opening it in Excel or Numbers and saving it again can rewrite the dates.
Step 3. On the Android phone: import
- Open My Clients and go to Settings — the gear, the last tab.
- Under Storage, tap Data and Storage, then Import CSV data.
- Leave Strategy on Add All — the new phone is empty, so nothing can double up. If you have already added a few appointments on Android, choose Skip Duplicates instead.
- Tap Select CSV File and pick the file — in Downloads, or wherever you saved it.
- The app says Successfully imported and the number of appointments. Open the Appointments tab and look at a few days you remember well.
Step 4. Finish setting up the Android phone
- Make sure reminders can reach you. Settings → Notifications → Notifications. Every line should be green: notifications allowed, and battery optimization disabled — otherwise Android may hold reminders back. On a Samsung, also open the battery settings → Background usage limits and add the app to Never sleeping apps.
- Choose how early to be reminded — Settings → Reminder period, in the same section. The iPhone’s setting doesn’t come across.
- Pick your currency — Settings → Currency, under Appointments. Prices arrive as plain numbers; a new install starts with the currency of your phone’s region, so change it if you charge in another.
What comes across, and what doesn’t
Every appointment, past and future, arrives with the client’s name, date and time, service, duration, price, prepay, tip, phone number and notes. A client saved as an Instagram or Telegram link stays a link, so Open Instagram and those channels in Notify client work as before. Several services on one appointment arrive as one line — “Manicure + Design”.
What stays on the iPhone:
- Expenses, other income and days off. The file holds appointments only — write down what you need before you switch. The monthly goal is an iPhone feature.
- Personal reminders — the Reminder entries that aren’t client appointments.
- Website links. Android keeps Instagram and Telegram links only; a client saved as any other link arrives under the name taken from it.
- Cents. Android keeps whole amounts, so 25.50 becomes 26.
- Settings: language, theme, the reminder message and your My Services menu. On Android, My Services → Create from past appointments rebuilds the menu from the imported history (Pro).
Pro on Android
Pro doesn’t move with you. The App Store and Google Play sell it separately, and the app has no account that could link the two. On Android, Pro includes the Clients list, My Services and Google Calendar sync; your appointments and their full history are in the calendar either way. See What’s in Pro.
If you had Pro on the iPhone and won’t use it any more, cancel it there so it doesn’t renew: iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
If the import doesn’t work
- “No valid appointments found in the CSV file” — the file was changed on the way, or it isn’t the export. Export it again on the iPhone and send it untouched.
- “Error importing CSV file” — the app didn’t find the Date and Time columns. The same fix: a fresh export.
- Everything arrived twice — the file was imported twice with Add All. Import it once more with Replace: it deletes the appointments on the Android phone and loads the file again.
