Move from Android to iPhone
Step by step — export your appointments on the Android phone, save the file to the iPhone, import it, and set up what doesn't travel.
The Android and iPhone versions don’t share an account, so your appointments travel as one file: you export it on the Android phone, send it to yourself, and import it on the iPhone. It takes about ten minutes. Keep the Android phone until you have checked the result on the iPhone.
Before you start, update My Clients on the Android phone from Google Play, and install it on the iPhone from the App Store.
Step 1. On the Android phone: export your appointments
- Open My Clients and go to Settings — the gear, the last tab.
- Under Storage, tap Data and Storage, then Export CSV data.
- Tap Export. Every appointment goes into the file — there is no date range to choose — and the app shows how many: … appointments ready to export. Remember the number.
- Tap Share and send the file to yourself: by email, or to Saved Messages in Telegram or a WhatsApp chat with yourself. Save instead puts it in a folder you choose, such as Google Drive.
Step 2. Save the file to Files on the iPhone
The iPhone app picks the file from the Files app, so it has to be there first:
- From Mail: tap the attachment, tap the share button, then Save to Files.
- From Telegram or WhatsApp: open the file, tap the share button, then Save to Files.
- From Google Drive: with the Drive app on the iPhone, Drive shows up as a location in Files — nothing to save.
iCloud Drive or On My iPhone — any folder will do.
Step 3. On the iPhone: import
- Open My Clients and go to Settings — the last tab.
- Tap Data & Sync, then Import Data.
- Under From Android or Another App, tap Import from CSV. (Restore from Backup, above it, is for a copy from another iPhone.)
- Strategy is already on Skip Duplicates — keep it. On a new iPhone it simply adds everything.
- Tap Choose CSV File and pick the file in Files.
- Import complete shows how many rows were imported. If it matches the number from step 1, everything is there. Tap Done.
When the iPhone asks whether the app may send notifications, tap Allow — that is how it reminds you before each appointment.
Step 4. Finish setting up the iPhone
- Check reminders — Settings → Notifications: Enable notifications is on, and Notification period is how long before an appointment you hear about it. The Android setting doesn’t come across.
- Pick your currency — Settings → Language & Region → Currency. Prices arrive as plain numbers.
- Turn on backups — Settings → Data & Sync → Back Up → Enable auto backup. Copies go to your iCloud Drive, so a lost phone doesn’t take your client list with it. See Back up and restore.
What comes across, and what doesn’t
Every appointment, past and future, arrives with the client’s name, date and time, service, duration, price, prepay, tip, phone number and notes. A client saved as an Instagram or Telegram link stays a link, so Notify client and the quick action that opens the profile work as before. The services you used show up as suggestions in the booking form straight away.
What stays on the Android phone:
- Expenses, other income and days off. The file holds appointments only — write down what you need before you switch.
- Settings: language, theme, the reminder message and your My Services menu — set them up again on the iPhone.
- Nothing newer than the file. An Android backup copy imports on the iPhone too — it’s the same CSV — but it can be up to five days old; the export from step 1 is up to the minute.
Pro on the iPhone
Pro doesn’t move with you. Google Play and the App Store sell it separately, and the app has no account that could link the two. On the iPhone the Clients list is free; Pro adds statistics for any period, expenses, widgets, iCloud sync with an iPad and more. See What’s in Pro.
If you had Pro on Android and won’t use that phone any more, cancel it in Google Play so it doesn’t renew: Play Store → your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
If the import doesn’t work
- “Missing required column(s)” — the file isn’t the export from step 1, or it was changed on the way. Export it again and send it untouched.
- “Couldn’t read the file” — the same fix: a fresh export.
- Everything arrived twice — the file was imported twice with Add All. Import it once more with Replace: it deletes the appointments on the iPhone and loads the file again.
